About the Job 

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic intern to join our team at Allianz Technology. This internship offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of IT service management and business intelligence, gaining hands-on experience in both agile and traditional project management methods. You will work closely with senior executives, assist in managing projects, and contribute to innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

What you do

• IT Service Management:
• Assist in managing IT services, including support for service development, service sourcing, and service transition.
• Support the continuous improvement of IT services and assist with managing security, compliance, and reporting processes.
• Act as a point of contact for Service Management activities and contribute to risk management and remediation processes.
• Help ensure the stable and efficient operation of services, focusing on availability, capacity, and cost management.
• Business Intelligence & Software Development:
• Work in the area of Business Intelligence, focusing on large database clusters (Oracle) and microservices.
• Assist in developing software solutions according to customer requirements, working with modern technology stacks in both the frontend and backend areas.
• Support the transformation process in the Allianz Cloud Journey by driving business and technical services.
• Contribute to ensuring information security and preventing cyber-attacks.
• Agile Project Management:
• Gain experience in Agile methodologies, working alongside experienced teams and possibly taking on roles such as Agile Master or Product Owner.
• Support process improvements and manage tasks related to project planning, cost-effective execution, and project delivery.
• Learn principles of test-driven development and experience pair programming in an agile setup.

What you bring

• Education:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in (business) informatics, business administration (with a focus on IT), mathematics, or a related field with strong academic performance.
• Skills & Knowledge:
• Familiarity with Agile Project Management methodologies; Scrum experience is a plus.
• Strong interest in digital technologies, database technologies, and programming languages.
• Knowledge of at least one database technology (e.g., Oracle) and one programming language.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Experience:
• Previous internships or practical experience in IT-related areas (IT service management, software development, or business intelligence) is a plus.
• A willingness to take on responsibility, drive change, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-moving environment.
