Apple is currently seeking an enthusiastic team player to join a dynamic and collaborative group as a CAD Simulation Engineer on a human factors design team. You’ll have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development and continuing improvement of Apple hardware products by driving research in 3D data analysis, measurement, and modeling from a human interaction perspective.
As a member of this team-oriented, collaborative group, you will be working with designers, engineers, and researchers to perform critical analysis on 3D data using a scripting language. You’ll be asked to personally present your findings and communicate what you’ve discovered. Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, slide presentations, and participating in working meetings are key. Your responsibilities will include the following activities: -Process, clean, and verify the integrity of 3D data. Investigate new sources that can extend and improve insights. -Write scripts to pre-process and handle data from various sources and formats using statistical analysis and visualization tools. -Develop human-device computational models to accurately simulate product interaction. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help identify statistical analysis and visualizations tools to understand and distill the diversity and variability of human morphology. -Create custom visualizations that help decision makers quickly understand the data. The ideal candidate for this role loves to think spatially and work with large 3D data sets using computer software tools, and is passionate about creating informative visualizations and presentations to communicate results to all levels of the company.
