As a SIMULIA Simpack Technical Manager (m/f/d) – Automotive Applications you will lead our team of automotive simulation engineers. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in multibody simulation with strong leadership and project management skills to drive innovation and excellence. The position can be located in Munich, Stuttgart or Darmstadt.
Role Description & Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of simulation engineers
- Oversee complex automotive simulation workflows, focusing on vehicle dynamics (handling, ride comfort, durability)
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Establish and implement best practices in simulation methodologies
- Collaborate with R&D to enhance our technology
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies
- Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder relationships effectively
Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in automotive simulation, including 5+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in multibody dynamics and related simulation domains required, experience with electric vehicle (EV) simulation and advanced powertrain technologies is a plus
- Proficiency with Simpack, Adams, Recurdyn, Motionsolve, or similar tools
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills
- Familiarity with digital twins, cloud-based platforms, and AI/ML applications in simulation is a plus
- Willingness to travel internationally is required
