You will be a key player in our Operational Planning & Control team, where you will jointly lead the Fixed SGA Planning & Control calendar requirements across Sony Electronics Europe, and utilise your understanding of the financial/operational outputs of the business to drive results with cross-functional departments.

You should be someone with a credible finance background, from operational levels up to more strategic / business partnering more recently in your career. You’ll enjoy the challenges of working across a complex multi-national business with large datasets and truly multicultural and modern working environment.

You will:

  • Own Month-end close including final sign off (in liaison with GFA –Global Finance Accounting)
  • Undertake post-close detailed analysis and compilation of financial bridges (presented to SEU management and submitted to Tokyo)
  • Complete Budget and Forecast execution within Sony Europe framework (leading the process and driving the results)
  • Become a Business Partner with department heads and budget holders to review cost management and decision support
  • Be responsible for the allocation of costs to reporting units process (in liaison with BI team)
  • Maintain and control of the table of authority
  • Co-ordinate and run controlling processes for Fixed SGA
  • Contribute to Corporate projects for increased efficiencies

You will have:

  • Experience required in core Planning & Control and Management Reporting
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP (FI-CO module principally) required and ideally of BW/BO systems
  • Experience of working across a European business within a multi-cultural environment would be a strong advantage
  • Good understanding of core Finance & Accounting process areas preferred
  • Fully qualified CIMA preferably or ACA, ACCA or international/experience equivalent
