Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our growing team in Roseland, NJ.
The Employee Benefits Account Executive is responsible for account management and sales using a variety of skills and knowledge of the insurance market, products and competition for assigned, existing books of business and/or ancillary lines of coverage.
How You Will Contribute:
- Manage and retain existing book of business and pursue new opportunities for the book, where appropriate, including a specific business plan for growth.
- Maintain client relations with regularly scheduled meetings.
- Provide customer relations with all levels of client’s decision-makers as well as the day-to-day technical client representatives.
- Identify, develop, and oversee customer needs and service plans for each client and understand the needs of the customer.
- Manage resolution of global client issues as well as escalated employee issues.
- Assist producer with all prospecting and sales opportunities.
- Plan and assist with renewal process for all lines of coverage. Negotiate rate renewals in collaboration with producers and recommend carrier changes or alternate funding arrangements.
- Prepare new business strategies in collaboration with the producer, including proposals and presentations while ensuring agreement with customer’s requests/requirements.
- Develop client communications to inform and educate clients on benefits legislation, regulatory requirements, compliance, current industry trends and new product information.
- Follow BBBA guidelines, policies and procedures.
Licenses and Certifications:
- NJ Life and Health license in good standing
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher. Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
- 7+ year’s progressive experience in a related field, and management or sales.
- Proficient knowledge of the use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.)
- Valid Driver’s License, acceptable driving history, supervisory approval and provide proof of acceptable insurance required before using personal vehicle or a rental vehicle for Company business.
Pay Range
$125,000 - $130,000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
