Your Job
- Provide leadership and coaching to product design engineers to develop and manage new product developments, and also develop new and/or improved interconnect design solutions for Customers.
- Provide design support for product modifications, cost reductions, manufacturing process improvements and other technical support activities for product lifecycle management.
What You Will Do
- Drive successful development of new product development projects, research and develop ideas for new and/or improved designs for the high-speed interconnect industry.
- Generate design specifications, design proposals and/or product designs that meet customer requirements.
- Lead and participate in design and development activities from concept to production while adopting the Product Development Process.
- Work in a cross-functional team involved in the new product development and manufacturing which may include interactions with diversified function roles across different time zones.
- Visit Customers, ODMs (Original Design Manufacturer), and CMs (Contract Manufacturer) (as required) to support product and manufacturing activities.
- Provide engineering support for product modifications, cost reductions, manufacturing process improvements, technical support activities and other miscellaneous engineering activities.
- Provide consultation to Sales or/and Marketing on design related matters.
- Respond to any other duties as assigned by management.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 5 - 10 years in product design and development in high-speed backplane products.
- Experience with advanced parametric 3D CAD systems.
- Knowledge in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Team-oriented personality.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Minimum 1 year of experience in leading junior engineer/s for supervisors’ role (when applicable).
- In a connector design and manufacturing environment.
- Siemens NX experience.
- Siemens Teamcenter experience.
- Siemens Polarion experience.
- Design experience with high-speed interconnect products.
- Experience in a connector design and manufacturing environment.
