We are seeking an Intern to join our Department of Research this summer. Intern will be required to be in our Oakbrook Terrace office two days per week 

Our summer paid internship provides you with an opportunity to:

  • Participate in health services, patient safety and/or quality improvement research activities
  • Grow your understanding of the different roles available in your profession by experiencing the research activities of a national accrediting organization.
  • Meet a variety of people from a wide range of health care disciplines, allowing you to form relationships you can build on in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct project-related literature reviews.
  • Analyze and synthesize scientific literature.
  • Perform data entry/data analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of memoranda, position papers, other project-related communication, presentations and ad hoc reports as assigned.

Qualifications

  • The level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through Junior/Senior year of Bachelor's degree program, preferably in a healthcare-related field. ( Must be a currently enrolled student)
  • Some research, technical and/or clinical experience in a healthcare-related field.
  • Experience in social science research methods.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience working with a professor as a Research Assistant
  • Summer semester - up to 40 hours per week
