About the Role:
The Manager Fixed Assets will supervise one accountant to work together in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end General Ledger closing and financial reporting processes for fixed assets. The ideal candidate will have a solid finance/accounting background, in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, strong analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills, and ideally a good understanding of retail business and fixed assets accounting. The preferred candidate should have the aptitude and willingness to learn all facets of the fixed assets transaction flows and related accounting treatment. Exceptional organizational skills are a must to meet tight deadlines of this role. This role reports to the Sr. Manager - Corporate Accounting.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and contributes to the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including completing reconciliations, determine financial liabilities/accruals, preparation of journal entries, escalation, resolution of issues, and meeting all set deadlines for fixed assets.
- Reviews variance analysis for assigned areas of responsibility and partners with corporate department leaders and other company personnel to ensure variances are adequately explained.
- Research and resolve the proper accounting treatment for transactions relevant to the assigned areas of responsibility in accordance with US GAAP and established company policy.
- Prepare and maintain schedules and supporting documentation needed for management, internal and external reporting, internal and external auditors, and SOX requirements.
- Performs ad hoc analysis and develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures as required. Monitor and improve accounting and reporting processes.
- Support the growth and development of the team by working hands on to develop and grow the team on an individualized basis.
About The Pay:
- Base Salary Range: $100,000 - 120,000 Annually

About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance is required
- 8+ years of combined experience in public industry and public accounting
- CPA
- Strong knowledge of current US GAAP
- Strong MS Office/Excel skills and experience with an ERP system required (i.e. Oracle, SAP)
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills (Oral and Written), detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, innovative, self-motivated, decisive, accountable, and committed to excellence and high standards with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within a company
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and operate with a sense of urgency
- Willingness to “roll up the sleeves” and dig hard for the right answers
