Fixed Assets Associate Manager

The Fixed Assets Supervisor is primarily responsible for accurate and timely accounting and monitoring of company’s fixed assets as well as providing in-depth analytics related to fixed assets.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare, update, and maintain policies and procedures related to capital assets and related topics.
  • Supervise fixed assets team to perform fixed assets additions, transfers, dispositions in accordance with fixed asset policy
  • Manage and review monthly depreciation calculation and posting as well as maintaining dependent tables (useful lives schedules, etc.) for both book and tax accounting
  • Manage monthly fixed assets closing process in ERP system (Oracle) and tax depreciation tracking software (Sage)
  • Responsible for monitoring the status of CIP projects/assets, including on-going communication with appropriate business partners to ensure assets are placed into service in a timely manner, recorded, and tagged as such
  • Manage and reviews the preparation and analysis of the monthly reconciliation of the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the general ledger
  • Assist in the preliminary and annual audit performed by external auditors, including preparation of property plan and equipment audit schedules for the fixed asset accounts as well as accumulated depreciation and preparation of depreciation expense audit schedule
  • Responsible for the management of all aspects of the annual fixed asset inventory review
  • Recommend and participate in process improvement and automation.
  • Take complete ownership of fixed asset information retrieval and ad hoc analysis as needed
  • Assist with other special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
  • 4 Years – Experience in Position
  • 4 Years – Experience managing people/projects

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
  • 6 Years – Experience working in Position 
  • 6 Years – Experience managing people/projects

Education

  • Minimum Required: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or other related field
  • Preferred: 
  • Master's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or other related field
