Participate in research & engineering projects providing data analytics, machine learning, software development, and modeling support to Corning technology community and to enable effective innovation and competitive advantage of Corning products.
Work independently or as part of the team on data preparation, machine learning model development and testing and/or software development & modifications in support of Corning products.
Build/develop supervisory control layer for calculating optimal setpoints for process control in a manufacturing system; this will require coordinating and synchronizing the existing physics-based/first-principles models to provide an overall plant process view.
Education & Experience:
Master or PhD degree in Computer Science/Information Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Statistics and Data Science.
Required Skills:
Familiar with Machine Learning, Statistical Modeling, Deep Learning (Nature Language/Image/Time Series) model/algorithm.
Proficient programming skills in Python, SQL, MATLAB or C#
Familiar with MLOps practices and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
