The role 

We are seeking a Software Security Engineer to help improve the security of our software and platforms. In this role, you will report to the Software Security Engineering Manager and collaborate with a team of skilled security engineers. You will contribute to securing our development ecosystem by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security controls, and guiding teams on best practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation in software development with a strong focus on security principles and practices with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve security objectives. 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Contribute to efforts focused on improving the security of software and platforms by identifying risks and implementing effective solutions. 
• Support the effective operation and reliability of security solutions across software and platform environments. 
• Assist the ongoing maturity and optimization of vulnerability management processes to reduce risk and improve security posture. 
• Help integrate and operate security tools within the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to identify and mitigate risks effectively. 
• Perform other tasks as needed to support the team’s security objectives. 

What You’ll Bring 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure, such as AWS. 
• Experience in software development is a plus (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Java). 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and contribute to the success of the product lifecycle. 
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture. 
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, particularly concerning technical risks, issues, and constraints; 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Portuguese);
