Position Title: Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer within our NBS TDT team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and advancing our ETL processes. Your expertise will contribute to the management of unstructured data ingestion and its conversion into structured data on the cloud. This foundational work is essential for developing AI solutions that will have real-world applications and impact.

Education Recommendations: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field with an accredited school in Colombia.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

What you will learn and contribute to

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Data Engineer who conducts target-oriented research to directly apply findings to the specification, design, further development, and incremental improvement of our products, services, systems, tools, and processes.

As part of the team, you will:

  • Deliver and coordinate the implementation of cutting-edge cloud-based solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure, ensuring high-quality performance and alignment with business goals.
  • Manage exciting machine learning and artificial intelligence projects, bringing your expertise to bridge data science and practical application.
  • Oversee initiatives in generative AI and other large language models, helping to push the boundaries of what's possible in our technology offerings.
  • Create next-level visualizations using the Microsoft Power Suite, transforming complex data into clear insights that drive decision-making.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Education Recommendations: Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a related field with an accredited school in Colombia.

Required Skills: 

  • Understanding the MS cloud computing concept.
  • Owning skills to support AI/ML or GenAI projects.
  • Ready to support ETL to manage un-structured data ingestion and conversion to structured data in cloud to support the basis of AI solutions.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • End to end understanding Azure Data Factory.
  • Familiarity with DevOps or Agile or Waterfall delivery concepts.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English.
