Job Summary
In this capacity you will be responsible for the assigned to you quarter close activities, analysis and reporting of the P&C technical results under IFRS, local GAAP and SII. Moreover, you will be involved into analysis and monitoring of complex transactions ensuring accuracy of figures, providing your strong technical expertise and navigation to the Senior Management, internal and external stakeholders. As a part of the mandate you will drive continusly the process improvement and efficiency. You will benefit from SCOR’s multicultural fast-paced work environment and broad intercompany relationships with other departments and functions.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Production of P&C IFRS & local GAAP technical result, as well as Solvency II.
- Conducting of assigned internal controls and ensuring those efficiency, within the given framework.
- Coordinate and perfom closing tasks for the assigned scope in coloboration with other functions and the Group
- Review the accuracy of the data in the reinsurance accounting systems and ensure the completeness of the P&L and BS for the IFRS, local GAAP & EBS quarter close.
- In depth analysis of technical results incl. special deals, large / complex transactions for contributive business, internal operations.
- Production of quarterly and YE QRTs for SII reporting, including additional adjustments for local specifics where required.
- Ensure the delivery of high quality, well explained and multi-GAAP compliant results on a timely basis results to the Senior Management, internal & external stakeholders, local CFOs.
- Be the main point of contact on financial statements production for internal / external stackeholders.
- Quarterly / Year End reporting and conducting of the presentations of the under IFRS17, Solvency II, local GAAP for P&C technical results.
- Proactively driving process improvements and efficiencies, automation solutions.
Required experience & competencies
- Miniumum 7 years of experience in (Re-)insurance sector preferably in finance, consulting / audit or actuarial field
- Robust understanding of (Re-)insurance P&L and BS
- IFRS17, Solvency II reporting knowledge is of strong advantage
- Solid skills in Excel and reinsurance accounting systems, ability to operate with large amount of data
- Strong ability to see a big picture with detail orientation, analytical thinking and numeracy skills, as well as strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, ability to deliver precise and reliable within deadlines
- Openminded, service, objective and goal-oriented
- Strong ability and willingness to work in an international / multicultural environment, exceptional team player with good interpersonal skills
- Fluency in english (written & spoken)
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree of above in finance, economics, mathematics or accounting. Actuarial degree is of advantage.
