HDR is looking for a Substation P&C Engineering Manager/Team Lead (EM/TL) to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals. The Substation P&C Engineering Manager will be responsible for knowledge and execution of the technical aspects and deliverables of projects assigned to them. They must be a competent engineer who can complete all technical requirements of projects from basic to moderate complexity. They will also be expected to support the growth of a Substation team and assign tasks to junior level staff while providing technical mentorship to the team. They will coordinate quality control reviews for work performed by junior level engineers and/or designers. This position also entails working with Senior Engineers and the Business Class Leader to identify and develop specific technical expertise. They wil be expected to attend training seminars focused on further development and understanding of complex concepts related to their discipline. They may also assist with developing technical papers and presentations that showcase HDR’s technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events. They will establish strong client relationships in the region and an in-depth understanding of our clients’ business objectives to determine effective execution strategies, and then build local teams to leverage existing staff across the company to execute work and deliver world class services to those clients.
