We are seeking an experienced senior accountant to join our team. This is a hybrid/in office position based in our Miami, FL office. As Senior Staff Accountant, Compensation and Benefits Accounting you’ll be responsible for overseeing the recording, analyzing, and reporting of Princess Cruise Line Compensation and Benefits for both Shipboard and Shoreside personnel. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated and devoted to accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in month-end financial close activities including analysis for journal entry preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and supporting documentation with focus on operational efficiencies and GAAP compliance monthly.
  • Monitor and process workflows/systems to provide accurate and timely output, with focus on increased efficiencies and awareness of adequate controls. Make recommendations for process improvement.
  • Interact with both internal & external auditors and respond to requests in a timely manner.
  • Conduct variance analysis on relevant balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Develop new desk-top procedures and maintains current desk-top procedures for assigned responsibilities.
  • Independently provide ad hoc reporting and resolve issues by answering questions from external and internal customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. 
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ of progressive Accounting experience. Compensation and Benefits preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Intermediate to expert Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels. 

This is a hybrid/in office position, based in our Miami office. Candidates must be comfortable going into the office 3 days/week (currently Tuesday-Thursday).

  • Base Salary Range: $71,200-$96,100. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base pay is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
