The Accounting Analyst II is responsible for supervising the MFS Accounting Systems department. Duties include meeting the needs of both external and internal customers in a timely and accurate manner and supervising MFS Accounting Systems teammates.

This position will require the candidate to report and work from the office four days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Carrollton, TX.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

  • Perform timely setup, changes, activation and inactivation of Customer/Vendor/Supplier & Employee address book records.
  • Setup and/or adjust; JDE Access, AS400 Profiles, Menu/Action/Business security.
  • Send out G/L guide workbooks to franchisees and the setting up a customized G/L guide when returned.
  • Review vendor setups, making the necessary address book adjustments (if needed) and meeting all deadlines set by the IRS in regard to 1099 reporting.
  • Spearhead new business functions as it relates to the Accounting Systems department.
  • Evaluate responsibilities of the team, realign resources to ensure that everyone is fully utilized and manage perception of team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

A teammate in this position must:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting -OR- significant accounting education and/or experience.
  • Possess high level of knowledge of all JDE environments.
  • Have 2 years' experience of accounting.
  • Understand many different systems and program additions/changes and their impacts within JDE.
  • Have extensive knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
  • Be able to supervise teammates and ensure that they understand their roles within the department.
  • Have a strong understanding of Automated Accounting Instructions and G/L accounts.
  • Have excellent organization skills and complete projects in a timely manner with strict guidelines.
  • Have good communication skills and teammate interaction skills with teammates of all levels.
  • Have knowledge or the ability to create ad-hoc queries and the familiarization of JDE files and fields. 
  • Have knowledge of the food distribution industry.
