Responsibilities*

The Department of Mechanical Engineering seeks a Lecturer to teach AUTO 503; MFG 503; ISD 503; ME 450

Duties include assisting with preparing and delivering lectures (length of lectures depends on credits for the class), preparing and grading homework, projects, and exams (as appropriate).

Hours: 12 hours per week in February 2025 for training. 40 hours per week from March - July 15, 2025.

NOTE: This position is only for the period of February - mid-July 2025. This is an open position.

Required Qualifications*

A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field, and previous teaching experience at the university level are strongly preferred.

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
