About Team

As a world-renowned VR/AR brand with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, Pico has been at the forefront of the consumer electronic market. We have teams in Europe, Japan and South Korea. Now we are looking for experts in image pipeline to join us to build our AR/VR imaging team.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of system RTOS firmware development on future XR prototypes including ultra-futuristic AR glasses prototypes and ultra-advanced MR headset prototypes.
  • Use end-to-system Application firmware development including initial bring-up and RTOS driver development on ARM based MCUs.
  • Develop robust processes for validating hardware and system integration.
  • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot hardware issues.
  • Collaborate in a team environment across multiple product focused, research, and engineering disciplines, making the architectural tradeoffs required to rapidly deliver firmware solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • M.S. or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Software.
  • 3+ years industrial experience in RTOS firmware development.
  • Firmware development experience for ARM based processors, microcontrollers and various communications protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, BT, WiFi)
  • Driver and board-level system software development. Board bring-up and system debugging. Debugging tools, including bus analyzers and oscilloscopes. Debugging and problem solving in code bases and environments. Bootloader development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with board-level driver / BSP development is preferred.
  • Familiar with software development on other platforms, including but not limited to bare-metal, Android, Linux and iOS is preferred.
