REQ12375 Audit Assistant, Compliance and Control (Open)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Audit Assistant, Compliance and Control participates in daily audits of gaming and non-gaming activity, the preparation of management and regulatory reports, and preparation of journal entries
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the department of Compliance and Control in the daily collection of gaming and non-gaming audit documents and reports
- Performs audits of gaming/non-gaming activity, in accordance with gaming/non-gaming audit standard operating procedures for one or more of the following areas as assigned by the supervisor:
- Intercompany casino transactions and other areas as required
- Prepares the daily journal entries to record revenues and expenses along with any balance sheet entries
- Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliation of general ledger to corresponding source systems
- Assists in the preparation of daily reports for submission to government regulators, external parties, internal parties, and senior management team

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications, majoring in Finance/Accounting, administration/hospitality, statistics, business administration or mathematics preferred
Experience
- Up to two years of experience in a corporate environment will be considered as an advantage
- Audit experience in hotels preferred
- Experience with a computerized system
Skills / Competencies
- Advanced knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Hotel System Opera and Infrasys Point of Sale is an advantage
- Anticipates and assesses issues, risks, or opportunities facing the Company and applies effective, creative solutions or new approaches and practices
