In New Taipei, Taiwan, we serve global clients in telecom and datacom industries in providing innovative optical modules and subsystems to support our customer’s next generation networks. We are looking for a Sr. Analog Electrical Design Engineer. 

This person will be responsible for the designing, developing, testing, optimizing, and debugging analog circuits and systems with a focus on innovative optical networking devices and systems. You will be responsible for leading the electrical aspects of these products from concept to production, collaborating with other engineers, scientists, and customers, and ensuring the highest quality and performance of our products.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, debug, optimize, and test analog circuits and systems, such as filters, ADC, DAC, PD, TIA, EDFA amplifier design, op-amp based amplifiers
• Create and maintain test plans, technical documents, reports, and presentations, generate engineering changes, release designs for fabrication and assembly, evaluate vendors, analyze issues and determine root cause
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on the design of analog circuits and systems
• Work with other team members to optimize and finalize design for full production and to meet all specifications
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians. Provide technical support to customers and suppliers
• Support process development and production teams
• Perform and/or support design verification, reliability, and failure analysis to ensure that design meets all specifications and customer requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or related technical field or discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in analog electrical circuit design and development
• Solid fundamental knowledge and expertise in analog electrical circuit design and debug of various circuits
• Experience using CAD tools, such as OrCAD, and familiarity with Allegro
• Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA
• Experience with design for manufacturing and yield
• Demonstrated ability to analyze information and solve problems
• Good verbal and written skills for exchange of information in a clear and concise manner
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Experience in leading projects, coordinating team members, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget
• Experience in mentoring other engineers
• Provided technical advice to management and other engineers
• Ability to speak and communicate in English

What will put you ahead

• MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field related technical discipline
• 8+ years of electrical system design and process development of optical products
• Experience with optical networking products and associated electrical circuits such as EDFA amplifiers, VOA, Photo Detectors, optical transceivers, etc.
• Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE
