This opportunity is to support patient care in the NE zone through assessment of medication orders evenings and weekends for all sites in the NE.
As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Qualified candidates are: licensed to practice pharmacy within Alberta and fully training in Epic
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent Rural Hospital experience working with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work effectively both in a team environment as well as independently. Ability to use evidence-based medicine in direct patient care. Demonstrates computer literacy skills, good time management, capable of making decisions, working independently & cooperatively in team environments.
