Position Information

Title: Viking Ambassador

Department: Enrollment Services

Reports to: Enrollment Services Staff

Position Summary: 

Enrollment Services is looking for dedicated and responsible students who are excited to share their love for VCSU with prospective students and families. The primary role is to provide campus tours, although students have worked as greeters, hosts, and assisted with other campus events. Hours vary per week and are based on availability. Some evening hours and weekends possible. 

Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Maintain confidentiality.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned pertinent to the position.
• Must be a positive role model on and off the job.
• Must know and abide by all University rules and regulations.
• Must maintain a positive attitude toward the position.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Be a full-time undergraduate student (basic).
• Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
• TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
• Skill in observing situations.
• Ability to work and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Good organization and time management skills.

Physical Demands

• 60-minute walking tours.
