Job Overview:

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, APAC is responsible for the financial planning and analysis function of the Restaurant Holdings Segment within APAC. The Restaurant Holdings (RH) Segment presents results of Company-owned restaurant sales and expenses. This role entails owning the P&L for the APAC business (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis) and leading the way for integration of new businesses within the segment through workplan design, cross-function collaboration, technical foresight, and strategic decision-making. They should identify opportunities in the business and work with internal & external stakeholders to materialize solutions. In addition, the position works with other functions within the organization, including the Global Finance and Development teams, Global Tax and Accounting teams, APAC Development, Profitability, Field teams and Franchise Partners. The FP&A Manager reports directly to the VP of Finance APAC.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Own and monitor the RH APAC P&L to provide visibility and insights to the APAC leadership team and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Lead the development of the budget through a partnership with the APAC Marketing and Development teams, on an annual basis, and full-year forecast, on a monthly basis
  • Analyze variances between actuals, budgets, forecasts, and prior year performance, delivering insights to management
  • Work closely with Global Finance and Development teams, Global Tax and Accounting teams, APAC Development, Profitability, Field teams and Franchisee Partners to align financial objectives with overall company goals
  • Lead financial and business integration projects independently
  • Evaluate and provide financial modeling support for regional commercial deals, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance/business faculty
  • 4-8 years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Previous experience in Investment Banking/Finance or Accounting will be an advantage
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and spoken. Any additional language will be an advantage
  • Ability to develop financial models and consolidate financial statements. Understanding of US GAAP is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of financial and business processes and controls
  • Capability to multitask and adapt to a constant changing, fast pace environment
  • Comfortable with communicating with senior management and cross function leads.
