Requisition ID req31953 Working Title Program Manager Position Grade 13 Position Summary The National Science Foundation awarded the School of Engineering a Center for Engineering Equity. This is a mutlifaceted institutional change project that seeks to innovate processes and practices in the School of Engineering across diverse areas including student success, faculty development, and partnership enhancement with K-12 and Community Colleges. The newly funded center requires professional operations expertise to help stand up the center and keep the work on track as specified in the list of responsibilities below. Annual expenditures will initially be approximately $600k per year, with the potential for a four-year extension to "phase two" after the first two years. We will be pursuing synergistic funding that could grow the center's scope.
Funds for a 1.0 FTE program manager were included in the proposal budget, and this position will be fully funded on this external grant. Principal duties include:

Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience 2 of which are management level experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications ● Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, and visual) and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
