The Costpoint Business Analyst, Principal, will be a functional Costpoint SME to help provide insights on how to better leverage Costpoint for strategic decision-making and operational improvements. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong skills in the functionality of Costpoint and a deep understanding of business processes and reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality analysis and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, gather requirements, and define project objectives.
  • Develop and implement best practices for business analysis, including methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Improve processes and reports including but not limited to invoicing backup and contractual deliverables.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data analysis and reporting.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business analysis processes.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the business analysis team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience using Deltek Costpoint
  • Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Government Contracting regulations and standards
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in a Finance or Information Technology field
