Foreperson - Cleaning

Summary of the Position:

Tishman Speyer is seeking to hire a Foreperson for the Cleaning Department. This person will be responsible for leading the Cleaning staff on daily cleaning tasks for front of house and back of house spaces and customer (tenant) spaces. The Foreperson will ensure to inspect that all areas are clean, disinfected, and items are restocked and maintained to our health and safety standards. The successful candidate will help to create and maintain a clean, attractive, and welcoming environment for our customers (tenants), visitors, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build professional relationships with fellow employees, Forepersons, Managers, and Senior Leadership.
  • Cross functional team collaboration across Engineering, Security, and Property Management.
  • Ensure all employees are in complete uniforms and are neat and presentable according to Tishman Speyer standards.
  • Monitor attendance for payroll purposes and submit payroll documentation as needed.
  • Redistribute work assignments according to employee absenteeism, i.e. vacation, sick call outs, etc.
  • Assign and track periodic work as it relates to cleaning, disinfecting, stripping and waxing, and snow removal, etc.
  • Distribute work assignments and corresponding keys and access cards to employees.
  • Conduct daily quality control inspections.
  • Emergency response to floods, inclement weather.
  • Communicate with customers, employees, and management regarding tasks, requests, and updates as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel between floors and buildings including frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead indoors and outdoors with varying temperature ranges from 0 – 100+.
  • Must be able to stand for an extended period, at a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, place objects less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment that may be required, such as but not limited to: safety glasses, safety goggles, face shield, chemical-resistant reusable gloves, disposable gloves, face mask, nuisance dust mask, and closed shoes with non-slip soles.
  • Must be able to work Holidays upon request.

The base compensation for this role is $32.586.
