Salary: $20.87 per hour
Job Summary:
The CNC Operator will be responsible for producing precision parts using automated equipment and accurate measurements. Candidates will be using hands and machines to build couplings in a safe and sustainable manner. Pay for this position is up to $24.38/hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
1st shift: Mon-Fri 6a-2:30p
2nd shift: Mon-Thu 2:30pm-1am
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and do simple set ups on a CNC Mill. Operate and adjust auxiliary equipment.
- Check parts produced for dimensional and finish conformance to specifications.
- Adjust machine as required and correct any deviations that may occur.
- Perform operational sequence planning.
- Suggest improvements for standard or special tooling to suit materials or unusual cutting conditions.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Remove machined parts, bar ends and turnings from machine.
- Maintain statistical process control charting.
- Use all standard, variable, and attribute gauging to check work.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of machining experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- Must be able to do tool grinding, sharpening, and make proper tool selection.
- Competent in the use of computers.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
