Lead Quality Automation Engineer will be working in an agile team for small/large scale projects. He/She will lead the quality automation processes and ensure the implementation of test plans, automation frameworks in the project with good quality. Some functional testing will be required, but the focus will be on automation.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with QA Manager to identify and recommend improvements in testing lifecycle, architecture and implementation
  • Design and implement test plans and test cases
  • Develop /supervise maintenance of automation test cases/scripts that are integrated in CI/CD pipelines
  • Configure, optimize and execute automated test scripts
  • Enhance and maintain automation framework
  • Peer review work outputs of the team
  • Provide guidance and support to the QA team on best practices and quality standards
  • Recommend and assist in implementing process improvements to the QA team
  • Analyze functional / non-function requirements/acceptance criteria to determine testing scope and coverage
  • Coordinate with development team and other teams as necessary to obtain clarification on project scope to ensure a successful project implementation
  • Good collaboration and builds trusting relationships within team and other teams

Skills & Experience:

  • 7-8 years of Quality Engineer experience
  • Proficient in Test Automaton Frameworks (example: Cucumber, Playwright or Cypress)
  • Proficient level of experience in test of automation programming language preferably Java
  • Proficient level of experience in REST API Test Automation practices and tools (example: JMeter, Postman)
  • Proficient level of experience in functional and non-functional testing practices, including Performance Testing
  • Proficient level of experience in CI/CT/CD practices and tools: Git-based repositories, Jenkins, JIRA etc.
  • Proficient level of experience in Cloud applications
  • Independent and ability to multi-task and proactive in different activities 
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well with cross-functional teams in multiple geographies
