Role description:
As an Arcadian, you are passionate about Clients, and creating long-term, sustainable, profitable growth across the Property & Investment Sector. You will lead and develop key client relationships, inspire others to perform, and be a trusted partner, and a recognized face in the market, identifying and interpreting future market and client needs, influencing future strategy, and bringing the whole of Arcadis to provide solutions for our Clients.

- Dotted line to Business Area (BA) Director – Places and Global Market Sector Director Property & Investment.

This role can be based in New York, Chicago, or Washington DC, with regional scope/location
Role accountabilities:
Develop and implement Sector Strategy
- Lead development of Market Sector strategy in line with overall BA and Global Sector strategy to accelerate growth through annual and multi-year plans
- Prepare sector and account plans to translate strategy into concrete objectives, actions, and outcomes
- Drive Net Order Intake (NOI) and Net Revenue (NR) growth year on year for the Market Sector across all Business Areas
- Focus on diversification and bringing the enterprise of Arcadis to our Clients
- Lead market understanding and analysis to build and maintain Arcadis’ understanding and insights into client needs and opportunities
- Support the development of Global Market Sector Strategy and Annual Plans. Own implementation in the regional market
- Maintain the Arcadis brand in the market by arranging and attending Market Sector industry events and growing and diversifying client base.
Client Development
- Coordinate the allocation of Market Sector growth objectives by identifying and selecting new clients, and targeting existing clients, within the Sector to influence overall growth in Sector revenue, bookings, and margin, to meet or exceed planned targets, across all Business Areas.
- Personally lead one or two major accounts within the sector and be accountable for NOI of $10m per annum.
- Lead the analysis and valuation of strategic opportunities within the Sector to maintain an in-depth understanding of it, identify key market trends and emerging opportunities and share these insights with other Account Leaders/Directors to support their practical application to client needs.
- Develop and expand a sustainable network of relationships across the sector, leveraging these to enable Arcadis to have maximum impact
- Identify new client, product, service, and proposition opportunities within the Regional Sector and take these to market.
- Collaborate with Solutions teams to develop and implement pursuit/positioning strategy
- Lead and support regional/global pursuits by contributing tailored regional market
- insights and value propositions to address specific client needs
- Coordinate development of market-facing collateral to position Arcadis to meet Client’s needs
- Translate Global Sector value propositions into the creation of commercially viable Regional Sector value propositions that differentiate Arcadis in the market and generate demand within the region
- Assume accountability for the regional pipeline and feed opportunities into the Global Sector pipeline to ensure an optimal flow of pursuits to achieve agreed targets regionally and globally.
- Drive replication of success from client to client
- Deliver a maximal client experience, conduct CX surveys, act on findings
- Develop relationships throughout Arcadis to foster collaboration and maximize opportunities to cross-sell and move higher up the value chain with our Key Clients
- Develop and expand a sustainable network of relationships across the Regional Sector, leveraging these to enable Arcadis to have maximum impact.
- Contribute to the development of Global Sector marketing and communication plans and lead the adaptation and execution of these into Sector marketing and communication plans that position Arcadis in the market
- Develop and maintain a brand in the regional market through thought leadership articles, event attendance, and speaking engagements
Key Shared Accountabilities:
- Work with the BA Sales Directors to determine growth strategies
- Work with the Commercial Excellence team to develop and implement new business models, and apply new commercial skills
- Works with operational teams to ensure that GEC targets are met within each BA
- Defines and executes the Sector strategy for the largest Sectors with multiple Key Clients of the highest complexity (by sector mix and breadth of stakeholders) at Arcadis
- Works with Key and Emerging Account Leaders to identify local opportunities and winning proposals
Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrate a proven track record of developing and implementing sales strategies to profitably grow client accounts across the property and investment sector, within a multinational engineering or professional services firm or related activities.
- Significant presence in the sector regionally / globally
- Demonstrate significant leadership capability with an ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams around a common purpose, with an ambitious mindset and drive to grow the business and meet targets, independently, and through account and pursuits leaders.
- Fostering an entrepreneurial attitude and strategic focus with excellent commercial drive and decisiveness.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project,t, and location.
