Reporting to the Sales Director the Application Engineer is a primary point of contact for Regional Sales Managers (RSM) during the order acquisition process, this role involves creating product specifications, reviewing final bid specifications, sizing UV systems, and preparing proposals and quotations. Is responsible for recording all sales quotes, bids, and technical documentation for industrial applications. Additionally, the role includes maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and technical support provided.

This position is part of the North America Sales Team located in Canada or US and will be remote

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs, recommend tailored solutions, and deliver engaging technical presentations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) during the order process, crafting product specifications, reviewing bids, sizing UV systems, preparing proposals, and maintaining detailed records.
  • Troubleshoot product and application issues while providing training and technical support to RSMs, Channel Partners, and customers

The essential requirements of the job include: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or related disciplines) or equivalent relevant experience. 
  • Experience in water applications is preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed across North America

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in/with:

  • +3 years of Application Engineer experience preferred.
  • Proven customer-facing experience with strong relationship-building and maintenance skills.
  • Strong public speaking skills or an interest in developing them, with experience presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to achieving goals and driving results
