DAILY TEAM TASKS
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Proactively ensure high system and infrastructure availability
- Manage and monitor installed systems and infrastructure
- Monitor and optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with developers to implement solutions
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Write and maintain custom scripts to enhance system efficiency and minimize manual intervention
- Research new technologies to improve system quality
- Work with large SQL databases
TECHNICAL AREAS YOU SHOULD BE COMFORTABLE WITH
- Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of CentOS or Ubuntu Linux environments
- Administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Apache, NGINX, MySQL, HAProxy, ELK, etc.)
- Virtualization and containerization (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Nagios)
- Configuration management software (Puppet)
- Scripting languages (shell scripts, Perl, Python)
- Basic security and networking knowledge
- Google managed Cloud solutions
