Overview

As a developer at Corporate Bank (CB) Tech, you will be a crucial part of a dynamic team that collaborates with global stakeholders to deliver innovative technology solutions for the corporate banking sector. Your role will focus on understanding complex problems and driving both immediate fixes and long-term solutions that ensure stability and performance in our applications. You will work in an agile environment, contributing to architectural decisions, coding, and production delivery while leveraging your expertise to build high-quality, scalable solutions. Your work will have a direct impact on the Business by improving the efficiency and functionality of our systems, supporting key trading and operational functions.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with traders, operations teams, and global stakeholders to understand and resolve their technical challenges
  • Conduct structured problem analysis to identify both immediate fixes and sustainable, long-term solutions
  • Design, develop, and implement robust solutions into production within an agile delivery model
  • Collaborate with engineers to participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and contribute to specifications
  • Develop complex Structured Query Language (SQL) queries optimized for performance, and work with PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting for system integrations
  • Work with modern software development life cycle (SDLC) tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins/TeamCity, and OpenShift to streamline development and deployment

Skills You’ll Need

  • Expertise in Java, Spring-boot, and Oracle
  • Proficiency in writing complex, performance-tuned SQL queries
  • Solid experience with PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting
  • Familiarity with SDLC tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins/TeamCity, and OpenShift
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) in designing, developing, and maintaining applications

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • A self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and a structured approach to tackling challenges
  • Experience with Message Queue (MQ), WebLogic, and Control-M
  • A proactive attitude to staying current with technical trends and suggesting innovative solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly
  • A collaborative mindset, eager to share knowledge and mentor others within the engineering team

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
