About the role and our Sales team
The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for optimising and supporting all aspects of the sales organization’s operations, from pricing and contracts to bids and revenue management. This role works closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to streamline processes, leverage data-driven insights, and ensure seamless operations. The Sales Operations Manager enhances sales productivity, drives revenue growth, liaises with legal and improves customer experience through strategic and operational support.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and implement pricing models, contract structures, and bid strategies that align with revenue and profitability goals.
- Manage CRM data integrity and ensure accurate, consistent data entry, supporting system enhancements and CRM/RMS alignment.
- Responsible for establishing and managing a best-practice deal desk, collaborating with others while maintaining overall accountability.
- Generate regular and ad hoc sales reports, providing insights on trends, performance metrics, and forecasts to support strategic sales planning.
- Develop sales enablement resources, including training on pricing, contract terms, and bid processes to enhance team productivity.
- Oversee the contract management lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate creation, review, and execution of contracts and amendments.
- Lead the development and submission of bids and proposals, coordinating with internal teams to align on strategy, pricing, and terms.
- Monitor and report on key sales performance metrics (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and driving corrective actions as needed.
- Support sales forecasting, pipeline management, and territory planning to optimize resource allocation and maximize revenue potential.
- Oversee and administer sales incentive and compensation plans, ensuring accuracy in calculations, tracking, and reporting.
Professional Knowledge/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales operations, sales enablement, or a similar role, preferably within a B2B environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of sales processes, pricing strategies, contract management, and bid/proposal development.
- Ability to manage a Global Approval Matrix, and Global Approval Process.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Revenue Management Systems.
- Able to liaise with Legal, Professional Services and Consulting around contracting, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and Implementation Services.
- Strong background in data analysis, financial modelling, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Ability to facilitate and run regular Sales forecast calls when required.
- Proven experience in managing contract lifecycles and supporting complex pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Skills:
- Proficiency in CRM, RMS, and sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with an ability to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Strong contract management and pricing strategy skills, with knowledge of bid/proposal processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an ability to explain data insights and complex processes clearly.
- Project management capabilities, able to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
