Accounting Manager, GEM Central

As an Accounting Manager you will be responsible of managing and providing guidance and insights in the areas of Accounting department for the region across divisions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and supervising daily accounting tasks: month-end activities, accounts payable processes, general ledger account reconciliations, and fixed asset activities
• Monitoring and analyzing accounting data to produce financial reports/statements
• Ensure 100% compliance with US GAAP.
• Managing intercompany relations and flows between Turkey and international entities
• Managing all tax related matters of the company to ensure timely and proper tax filings
• Establishing and enforcing proper accounting and tax policies & principles.
• Leading both internal and external audit processes.
• Initiating and executing projects to create efficient and aligned accounting & tax processes with regards to domestic and international practices
• Leading and coaching accounting team .

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (education in English will be preferred)
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting/tax functions with at least 2-3 years of managerial experience
• US GAAP experience is a must
• CPA (SMMM) certificate and Big4 experience will be highly preferable
• International/regional experience will be a great asset
• SAP knowledge is a must
• Prior team-management experience
• Advanced skills in MS Office programs (especially MS Excel)
• Full business proficiency in English (written & spoken)
• Strong communicator
• Genuinely interested in developing others
• Works cooperatively with peers, management, subordinates, and other departments
