This position will be based in Dallas, TX and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.

Join the dynamic team at Gallo as a Director-Spirits Distributor Management, where you will drive the execution of our annual Spirits OP & Retail sales plan. In this pivotal role, you will own pricing plans and deliver revenue and sales contributions, ensuring profitability and success. Your leadership will inspire and motivate a team of direct reports and set the direction for Gallo’s distributor partners through innovative strategies and a clear vision.

This role encompasses both winery and distributor-facing responsibilities, where you'll approve pricing, manage budgets, and collaborate closely with distributor leadership to ensure the execution of sales plans and market assessments. Your entrepreneurial mindset will drive change and keep us future-focused, while your financial acumen ensures the profitability of our brands. You will lead regional sales staff to meet corporate objectives, maintain open communication channels, and design programs that meet key business objectives.

Field execution is also a key component, where you will support career development, attend market surveys, and engage in consumer-facing events as a Gallo Ambassador. Leveraging technology and digital assets, you will monitor performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions to optimize resource allocation.

As a leader, you will develop, coach, and mentor your team, ensuring they meet high expectations, take initiative, and foster an innovative culture. You will be accountable for annual planning processes, forecasting, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory considerations. Your efforts will help build an effective distributor network and maximize e-Retail opportunities.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of Winery/distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of winery/distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate plus 14 years of sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to travel by air and automobile up to 60% during the course of business.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What You Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales experience to include a prior director level rotation within Gallo winery sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Master's degree plus 8 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales experience to include a prior director level rotation within Gallo winery sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Gallo Sales/Distributor management experience.

Compensation:

  • Hiring salary range posted: $173,600 - $260,400 / year
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
