Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

The Project Manager will work closely with clients, internal, and external resources to ensure the successful completion of projects. This role involves running informational meetings, working with construction management and site leads, and coordinating resources to achieve design intent, quality, and value engineering. The Project Manager will manage large corporate restaurant and retail clients, develop project timelines, and oversee prototype development and production.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate customer resources needed to achieve design intent, quality, and value engineering.
  • Run informational meetings and work with construction management and site leads.
  • Manage large corporate restaurant and retail clients.
  • Define goals, objectives, and expectations with clients and develop necessary support and production plans.
  • Create project timelines and manage projects with department heads.
  • Monitor prototype development and production from physical products, on-time delivery, and budgetary standpoints.
  • Develop corrective actions with client representatives.
  • Develop quality and value-engineering opportunities with engineering and production departments.
  • Work with materials management, production supervisors, and scheduling to ensure good raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods flow.
  • Develop cost and pricing estimates.
  • Manage inventory to maximize turns and reduce waste.
  • Work with subcontract resources, visiting locations and conducting quality checks as necessary.
  • Engage with clients to gain more share of their business.
  • Minimal travel to customer sites in and out of Ohio.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in client-facing project management within the store fixtures, millwork, casework, or building construction industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings for understanding of interior finishes and millwork needs.
  • Microsoft skills, including intermediate level analysis in Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Global Shop ERP system experience.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in construction, architecture, millwork, woodworking, or fixture design.

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite role with some hybrid flexibility for appointments or sickness. The work environment includes a very clean manufacturing floor and an office space that looks like a showroom with custom wood paneling, tables, and industrial fixtures. The office overlooks the production floor with floor-to-ceiling windows. The average project duration is 8-12 weeks, with some projects as short as 6 weeks. The Project Manager will work with customers at different locations, build relationships, transfer paperwork to quotes, work with engineers and the production team to determine when materials need to arrive, and manage clients. The role may occasionally require working a few Saturdays.
