Located in Vista CA, UltraComm is currently ramping production capability to address their customers high volume product needs.
UltraComm’s Test Engineers are a key factor in the growth and quality of our optical interconnect product line. This individual will be a key technical resource and will work closely with production, product and R&D engineers to build and release test and characterization systems.

This Test Engineer position will work out of the Ultra-Communications/Samtec Vista, CA site.
The salary range for this position is $114-$120k per year plus applicable bonus and commensurate with experience. Summary/Objective: The Test Engineer is a self-motivated contributor, working with engineering groups at SAMTEC to develop and deliver optical product testing solutions for volume manufacturing. This position plans and executes the test development activities of assigned programs. They will ensure product test requirements are clearly defined, create plans to meet the requirements, assisting in roadmap development for continuous improvement. The Optics Test Engineer with PAM4 experience is the key point of contact for other groups on test development activities, until a manufacturable solution has been transferred to production, and then will continue to support on-going production as required.
