Position Title: Business Support and Services Manager

Job Summary:

The jobholder is primarily responsible for supporting strategic plans based on growing revenue, market share and productivity. The jobholder is focused on portfolio growth in a competitive environment whilst not compromising the retention of the existing customer base or service level agreements. The jobholder is likewise required to maintain relationships with a number of departments within CBS, other sectors within Metrobank and third party service providers. This involves being conversant with all merchant procedures, products and systems. 

Role Exposure:

  • Provide performance updates for the business and progress reports for all Merchant Acquiring business lines in a timely manner.
  • Proficient with the range of service offerings of Merchant Acquiring.
  • Proficient with all the systems and software used by Metrobank Merchant Acquiring.
  • Build, develop and utilize relationships with key areas within CBS and other sectors of Metrobank to create an efficient working environment with a view of assisting the growth of the Acquiring business.
  • Coordinate with different business units to provide immediate feedback to key contacts.
  • Identify potential process/service enhancements and properly escalates.
  • Coordinate with DM to provide MIS (daily/weekly/monthly reports) that will aid Merchant Sales in monitoring of merchant performance.
  • Coordinate and send reports to other units within CBS and other sectors within MB for charging of fees (terminal rental, subsidies and other fees), transfer of revenues and performance monitoring.
  • Managing POS rental - recording of POS rental arrangement, monitoring POS rental due, recording of payments made, billing and sending of invoices on a regular basis.
  • Facilitate orientation and training related to Merchant Acquiring for newly hired employees.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of key business drivers and ensure that the team is conversant in the same.
  • Ensure all concerns, issues and requests of the key contacts (CBS, Third Party Vendors, other MB Sectors, Schemes and Merchants) are addressed on a timely and accurate manner.
  • Create analytics for better reporting of billings, market trends and business review.
  • Serve as a contact person to other business units in CBS for merchant disaffiliation, fraud, chargeback and other related processes of Merchant Acquiring.
  • Manages supplies of MACQ.
  • Designated Cost Champ for Merchant Acquiring.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree from a college/university
  • Has at least 3 years of Merchant Acquiring related experience preferably from the Banking industry to have broad understanding of the business.
  • Has at least 3 years of supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills by being able to lead and motivate a small group to fulfill objectives.
  • A supervisory or coaching role in a previous or adhoc position a MUST.
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Excel, Work, and Powerpoint).
  • Have a background in business analysis with some project management experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously with integrity.
  • Demonstrates initiative with an ability to influence and negotiate win/win outcomes. 
  • Willingness to explore opportunities within the business and have the ability to articulate these opportunities to upper management.
  • Must be detail oriented with superior follow through capabilities.
