What success looks like in this role:
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop the PMO's vision, aligning with our global blueprint
- Aligning the activities and projects with the Unisys and Kier long-term goals
- Serve as a key advisor to Unisys leadership on project prioritization, the Demand pipeline and the status of key Site Implementation and Small Changes
- Technical Oversight
- Utilize strong technical fluency to guide decision-making and bridge communication between technical teams and stakeholders
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies to inform strategic and project planning
- Project Management Excellence and Demand Management
- Oversee the execution of multiple IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid) tailored to each project's needs
- Utilize Unisys resources for client projects, following client tools and processes. Ensure a steady pipeline of resources to support client work
- Work with the Demand Management team to ensure client requests are understood, documented, solutioned and costed. Coordinate resources from all Unisys BUs and Project teams to approve proposals and forward plan resourcing needs
- Risk Management
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop robust mitigation strategies
- Monitor project progress and support the assigned Project Manager in adjusting plans as necessary to maintain alignment with objectives, or escalate as appropriate to resolve issues
- Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing team of project managers and PMO staff
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement
- Effective Communication
- Articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment
- Financial Management
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the PMO
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize ROI and minimize waste

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage expectations and ensure stakeholder needs are proactively addressed

You will be successful in this role if you have:
Qualifications
- Education
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) required
- Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT project management
- Proven track record of managing a PMO or leading large-scale IT projects
- Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development life cycles, and emerging technologies
- Proficiency with project management tools and software
- Leadership Skills
- Exceptional ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams
