What this opportunity involves.

We’re looking for a personable, professional, and proactive Facilities Manager to join our successful team. In this diverse role, you will oversee the management of office, industrial and retail sites for one of the largest property investment firms in Australia.

Providing a high level of service, you will proactively engage with stakeholders to coordinate site operations, manage contractors, follow health & safety management guidelines, ensure compliance with regulations and procedures, support facilities related projects and gain an understanding of technical requirements for these mixed sites.

Relationship building across all levels is important, as you’ll be the key point of contact between tenants and contractors.

A snapshot of the day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Overseeing daily operations of facilities, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Managing maintenance and repair activities for buildings and equipment.
  • Coordinating with vendors and service providers for various facility-related needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and building codes.
  • Developing and managing facility budgets.
  • Supervising facility staff and contractors.
  • Conducting regular facility inspections and assessments.
  • Planning and executing facility improvement projects.
  • Implementing sustainable practices and energy-efficient solutions.
  • Collaborating with other departments to meet organizational needs.
  • Participating in long-term facility planning and strategy development.

You have facilities management experience in a commercial and/ or industrial/ retail environment and you’re ready to push your career forward managing a high-profile portfolio.

You’re passionate about sustainability and have a good knowledge of building systems as well as occupational health & safety legislation and requirements.

Excellent communication skills are important– both written and spoken - and we’ll expect you to work independently, multi-task, and manage your time to meet deadlines.

Most importantly, you’ll want to work as part of a supportive and talented team of industry professionals who really know their stuff and can help expedite your learning, growth and development.
