Salary Range: $73,238-$90,471

SUMMARY:

The Foundry Planning Supervisor (FPS) reports to the Foundry Manager and has daily interactions with all Foundry departments. The FPS’s top priority is to lead by managing their own words and behaviors, setting an example that engages employees, owning the production scheduling process that leads to safely producing quality castings and on-time deliverables to our customers, working closely with the Foundry Manager to direct the day-to-day scheduling activities of each department, and providing support to other departments when needed.

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all Safety and Environmental training is up to date, while promoting a people–first culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Lead and manage the Foundry production schedule, with support of the Foundry Manager.
  • Kanban/Inventory management, with support of the Inventory Department.
  • On-Time Delivery of castings. Work with all Foundry departments to ensure we meet or exceed our On-Time Delivery goals.
  • Frontline Supervisor (approximately 25% of time).
  • Analyze multiple reports to schedule departments with the goal of increasing production and throughput.
  • Work with Foundry Manager and area supervisors to provide support to hourly Team Members, assuring that the right tools and training are present to safely complete duties and tasks.
  • Collect and record daily production information and identify opportunities for improvement based on the data.
  • Actively promote a work environment of accountability and trust.
  • Support maintenance in the trouble shooting of equipment.
  • Identify areas needing support through daily interactions and walk-throughs on production floor.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 1 – 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Proficient user of MS Office programs; especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of planning/scheduling; AX or D365 (preferred).
  • Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects and processes on time.
  • Initiative-taking attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing for extended periods of time, walking throughout the facility on a daily basis.
  • Some daily deskwork is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Exposed to elements, such as cold, heat, noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
  • Work time is spent on the manufacturing floor and in a managerial office.
