Job Responsibilities

• Perform quality work on conventional operated milling machines, lathes, and surface grinding machines
• Use of Measuring and Test Equipment to ensure all dimensional requirements are met
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines
• Work from and follow blueprints, diagrams, & written process instructions
• Inspect and document condition of machinery
• Make minor repairs on machinery as needed
• Any other duties as required by the Company

Required Skills / Knowledge

• Ability to interpret Health, Safety and Environmental policies for compliance
• Good with computer software (MS Office, Word, Excel and internet navigation)
• Demonstrated ability to set up machine shop equipment (CNC machines, lathes, mills EDM, etc.)
• Machine shop theory, shop mathematics and layout techniques
• Excellent oral and written communication (English) as per FAA regulations
• Use of dimensional measuring equipment
• Must be able to machine and measure to close tolerances (.0002”) as required
• Read complex blueprint specifications, charts, and follow work orders and engineering instructions as necessary
• Comprehend and apply engineering drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5
• Problem solve and troubleshoot repair/overhaul problems

Experience

• 2 - 4 years’ experience in manual machining on lathes

Education Requirements

• College or vocational high school education in machining and machining practices
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certificate of completion of college or high school machining courses.

Physical Requirements

• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Good dexterity (grip, grasp, clutch)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to sit/stand for up to 8 hours a day
