The University of Miami Frost School of Music is accepting applications for a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of Instrumental Performance. A Master of Music degree is required.

  • Teach Instrumental Performance majors and principals and/or conduct ensembles. Salary based on a per course, per credit basis.
  • Make regular, scheduled visits to the Frost School, ideally once every two-weeks, or as planned with Svet Stoyanov
  • Teach 12 hours of lessons per visit
  • Teach a 2-hour studio class per visit
  • Lesson discipline primary focus – Timpani/Orchestral
  • Assist students in their artistic professional endeavors, and especially ones related to Orchestral Position Auditions and Festival Applications/Auditions
  • Consistently recruit highly qualified undergraduate and graduate applicants
  • Help in expanding the public awareness of the Frost School and specifically, its Classical Percussion Program, and assist in growing their reputation
  • Assist and participate in the development of the Frost Classical Percussion program’s Mission and Vision
