Lyreco is seeking a QA Automation Engineer, your mission will involve actively analyzing and improving user stories while collaborating with the development team and other Test Engineers to establish a testing approach within the system. You will prepare test plans and scenarios, design and maintain automated tests, and work to reduce the backlog of manual regression tests. Additionally, you will perform manual and exploratory testing in areas where automation is lacking and participate in Agile processes.

In such a large and complex organization, operating on multiple enterprise-scale systems, the essential point is to ensure a proper integration between them. The integration team builds and maintains a modern, scalable service-based integration layer. The scope of this team is wider than just integration. Services that will be constructed here are more about excluding reusable business logic from various systems to enable scalability and future integrations (e.g. master data). We are currently looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our team and help us provide excellence in the upcoming digital transformation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Actively analyze and improve user stories 
  • Build a test approach inside the system in cooperation with the development team and other QA Engineers 
  • Prepare test plans and test scenarios
  • Design, build, and maintain automated tests 
  • Reduce the backlog of manual regression tests 
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing in the areas where there is an absence of any automation 
  • Participate in Agile process (Scrum or Kanban)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Hands-on experience in business acceptance testing, API testing, functional testing, non-regression testing 
  • Good understanding of CI/CD concepts (preferably with Jenkins) 
  • Hands-on experience of working in Agile environment and scrum team 
  • Ability to work as QA automation engineer in cross-functional scrum team, as well as being a part of QA automation community 
  • Good knowledge on SQL and NoSQL databases (preferably Oracle and MongoDB) 
  • Understanding in messaging-oriented middleware (Apache Kafka) 
  • Good knowledge of at least 1 OOP language (preferably Java 8+) in context of writing test cases and extending test frameworks 
  • Experience in Cucumber, jUnit

Optional Skills 

  • Experience in performance testing
  • Familiarity with tools like Maven, Docker
  • Experience in working with cloud solutions (preferably Kubernetes)

Other Requirements

  • B2/C1 English level
  • Hybrid work (attendance 3 days per week in the office)
  • Experience in remote work
