Job Description:

Leading and management of the entire sales function of the cluster primarily on manpower expansion and business growth.

  • The Cluster Head will lead the channel management team and agency management team to expand Sun Life’s manpower and business in the assigned areas. He/she will oversee the execution of agreed strategic and tactical action plans to ensure delivery of the cluster’s business objectives for the short to medium term.

  • In-depth knowledge of agency fundamentals: sales & management process, rewards & recognition, performance management, compensation
  • In-depth knowledge and skills in management: visioning and goal setting, business review and planning, execution and monitoring, managing resources, managing change, managing conflict

  • Advanced knowledge in financial products & personal financial planning
  • Basic knowledge: actuarial & product development, underwriting & policy administration, investment, agency compliance, government regulations relating to insurance sales
  • Professional education: LOMA courses or designation, Financial Planning courses or designation (e.g., SLF-AIM, RFC, RFP, ChFC)

  • Designing and over-seeing execution of tactical action plans.
  • Lead and direct key initiatives that will build the quantity and quality of the sales force to maximize current and future business opportunities.
  • Leadership development: Lead and direct key initiatives to strengthen the Field Manager bench of the cluster.
  • Execution discipline: Strengthen the execution discipline of both the channel management team, and the branch management teams
  • Resource management
