Job Summary:

The coder will provide quality review and analysis of a wide range of patient medical records and ensure accuracy of coding and maintain records in accordance with accepted medical and legal standards.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Highschool Diploma/GED - Required

Certification Required

AAPC OR AHIMA

CCS-P – Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based or CPC – Certified Professional Coder Yes

Work Experience and Additional Information Required

• 1 year of experience in practical coding experience.
• Experience utilizing ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines Yes
• Knowledge of commercial insurance, and other third-party payor regulations
• Understand and practice HIPAA privacy and security rules and regulations. - Required
