- Position Summary
- The Electrophysiology Laboratory Technologist II role is responsible for scrubbing and assisting in the performance of diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures using hemodynamic monitoring equipment; evaluating patients’ hemodynamic status, electrograms, and vital signs; and managing the digital image during the procedure.
- The Level II technologist will read intracardiac electrograms during ablations. This role will also manage the digital image during the procedure and is responsible for the operation of related EP equipment.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate of School of Cardiovascular Technology or School of Radiologic Technology required.
- License/Certifications: For Radiologic Technologists: current applicable state(s) certification as a Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) required. Active ACLS and PALS Certifications required or must obtain within one year of employment and/or in accordance with department requirements.
- Experience: Two years of electrophysiology experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of an Electrophysiology Laboratory Technologist I role.
