Job Title: Operator 1 - Packager

Primary Function:

Process and package finished products according to customer-specified packaging requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The duties listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed. Team members may be assigned additional tasks as needed.

• Inspect finished products, identify defects, and discard defective items.
• Collect packaging materials and package finished goods to meet customer order specifications.
• Print and apply labels to match packaged product specifications.
• Assemble and label packaging boxes.
• Operate a metal detector to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Count finished products to ensure they match specified label quantities.
• Properly label and case finished products for shipment.
• Complete work orders and accurately document processed goods.

Qualifications:

• Strong ability to count products accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to apply logic to solve problems.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Must have color acuity to differentiate fine details.

Physical Activities:

• Mobility required; work may take place in an office, plant, or warehouse.
• Must have basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to see and distinguish subtle differences in color, detail, and design.
• Manufacturing floor environment involving sitting, standing, walking, and clear communication abilities.
• May be exposed to loud and dusty conditions, as well as varying temperatures.
