The Senior Manager, Consumer Insights at Firehouse Subs is a business leader that will influence the strategies for one of America’s favorite sub chains! This role works towards building a holistic understanding of our guests, the competitive landscape, and Firehouse Subs brand, translating knowledge into actions by creating the best menu and guest experience. The position is expected to influence and co-create effective strategies that can translate into sales growth for the company and our franchisees

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured customer insights to feed brand plans that will drive the business forward.
  • Apply analytical thinking, concepts, and tools to make the best usage of data from multiple sources, connecting consumer research with market data and business results.
  • Lead the development, execution and evaluation of multiple simultaneous research/analysis initiatives, both quantitative and qualitative research techniques (ad-hoc and continuous tracking).
  • Establish our current and future guests persona using both demographic and psychographic details from primary and secondary research.
  • Act as a fact-based guest’s voice in business and decision-making processes.
  • Identify opportunities and white spaces based on guest experience & insights to keep improving our business results.
  • Act as the central knowledge point for the Marketing Analytics team on internal and external continuous data sources (i.e: syndicated research and sales data).
  • Develop a forward-thinking research plan for your portfolio that supports the 3-year strategy

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a highly visible consulting company, research institute, or Consumer Insights / Business Intelligence role, skilled in strategy development.
  • Experience leading custom research projects
  • In depth understanding of Qualitative and Quantitative research tools and methodologies such as Brand Health Tracking, Product/Concept tests, Pricing Researches, Usage and Attitude studies, Brand dipsticks etc.
  • Proven track record of developing business strategies from guests/business information, leading/consulting with cross-functional teams, and influencing decisions using actionable insights.
  • A storyteller with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Can adapt to changing needs and scope
  • Strong curiosity and passion for the consumer
  • Detail-orientated with solid data analysis and reporting skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
