Job Summary:

The Sourcing Engineer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers for the company’s products and services. This role involves technical evaluation of suppliers, cost analysis, and the development of sourcing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical evaluations of potential suppliers to ensure they meet the company’s quality and service standards.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify sourcing opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for materials, services, and capital equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure timely procurement.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to maintain a reliable supply chain.
  • Conduct cost analysis and recommend sourcing decisions based on data-driven insights.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
  • Strong technical background and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in procurement software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of international trade practices and regulations.
